Project Highlights

Location: Bozeman, MT

Project Size: 150,000 SF

Completed: 2025

Winner: "Best Commercial Project" 2025 Montana Contractors Association

When a well-known general contractor recognized for tackling some of North America's most demanding projects needed a team to build their own corporate headquarters, they put the field through a competitive interview process, going head-to-head against some of the state's best. Swank Enterprises won the project and delivered it with outstanding success.

The building itself was designed to move. Sweeping curves and organic geometry replaced the expected square corners, calling for a graceful, technically demanding interplay of glass, brick, and steel throughout the 150,000 sf, four-story structure. Every phase of construction had to honor that fluidity without sacrificing precision.

From day one, Swank leaned into the early collaboration and pre-construction engagement the team specializes in, working hand-in-hand with the owner well before ground broke to align on design intent, anticipate constructibility challenges, and map out a sequencing strategy for the complex material interplay ahead. That upfront investment paid off throughout construction, allowing the team to stay ahead of challenges rather than react to them. Guiding it all was an owner deeply engaged in the process, bringing sharp attention to detail at every turn. This dynamic let Swank fully address and honor the owner's vision at every stage.

Beyond its striking architecture, the building was designed with everyday comfort in mind. Enhanced acoustical features throughout the windows, walls, door systems, and HVAC help create a quiet, professional environment shielded from outside noise. Each office was also given its own independent climate control, with individual thermostats allowing occupants to set the temperature that works best for them.

The result is a headquarters that pairs bold, fluid design with the kind of technical precision and thoughtful, occupant-focused details that make it a standout addition to the Bozeman landscape.
