Jobs Bidding
Swank Enterprises does most of its contracting with Small Businesses, and we welcome all businesses to bid with us.
We do have an internal mailing list, and we like to get information and references on as many small businesses as we can, especially DBE's, WBE's, HUBZone's, Veteran-Owned, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned businesses.
Bidding Process
Swank primarily contracts through competitive bidding. During this process, we select a job we are interested in bidding, order the plans (which places us on the plan holders list), and send out bid cards inviting companies to bid.
Prior to the bid, we welcome any and all subcontractors and suppliers to submit their bid. If swank is the lowest bidder, we will award various contracts and purchase orders to the lowest qualified bids that were submitted prior to the time of bid.
At the time of the bid letting, we accept bids via mail, telephone, and/or fax.
We generally do not advertise the jobs that we are bidding. Instead, the Builders' Exchanges have lists of all plan holders for the various jobs bidding. These lists are typically where interested Subs and Suppliers determine which General Contractors they can submit prices to. Click on this link for a list of Montana Builders Exchanges.
To aid in the solicitation of bids, we mail bid cards to potential bidders in the project area. These bid cards describe the bidding requirements, the project, and where bid documents may be obtained. Please note we welcome all bids and do not require businesses to be in our database to bid. If you want to be added to our company's internal list, please fill out and send the following form.
In closing, Swank Enterprises states that it is the policy of Swank Enterprises to afford every practicable opportunity for small, HUBZone small, small disadvantaged, women-owned small, veteran-owned small, and service disabled-veteran-owned small business concerns to participate in contracts awarded to Swank Enterprises.
